About the Founder

Steph Rondinelli is a mental health professional, sound healing practitioner, and lifelong musician with over 20 years of experience working in community mental health. With more than a decade of clinical experience specializing in family and outpatient therapy, Steph holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has advanced training as a Level II Certified Trauma Professional, with additional training in Somatic and Polyvagal-informed approaches. Steph is also Level II certified in Sound Healing.

Throughout her career, Steph has been involved in the local music community, performing and collaborating across multiple genres. This longstanding relationship with music, combined with extensive clinical experience, has shaped a unique approach to healing that integrates sound, body awareness, and nervous system regulation.

Early in her work in mental health, Steph began to recognize a gap in available services—particularly the lack of individualized, holistic approaches and limited access to alternative methods of care. This realization became the foundation for what would eventually become The Soundness: a wellness initiative designed to bridge traditional mental health practices with accessible, integrative healing modalities that emphasize the power of sound.

Steph’s work is rooted in the belief that individuals have the capacity to actively participate in their own healing when given the right tools and support. Through sound therapy, somatic practices, and education, Steph aims to increase awareness of alternative approaches that may help support overall well-being, including reducing symptoms such as stress, pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and much more.

A central part of Steph’s vision is to make these tools accessible to all populations—especially children. Steph believes that teaching nervous system regulation through sound, breath, and movement at an early age can provide lifelong coping skills. By introducing children not only to sound healing instruments but also to traditional musical instruments, Steph hopes to empower them with creative, effective ways to express themselves, manage stress and navigate life’s challenges.

At the heart of this work is a simple but powerful belief: when we equip ANY individuals with tools for self-regulation, expression, and awareness, we create the potential to prevent the development of more severe mental health challenges and foster a more resilient, connected future.
